Writing has little to do with desire. I'd categorize my internal scripted expressions more as a must. I write because I fear passing up creativity. I feel that if some beautiful conception or captivating perspective is painted in my head it is my role, as the bearer of such inspiration and originality, to depict it in the most prominent manner possible. Now I know my caliber of poetry exists on a level incomparable to such greats as Byron, Shakespeare or the great Tupac, but as I said before, I write because I must. I will, however, “strive to write poems where ideas kiss similes so deeply that metaphors get jealous. Where the subject matters so much that adjectives start holding pronoun rallies at city hall.” And so that's me in a paragraph, but to truly understand who I am, you should study me through my stanzas and rhyme schemes.
My favorite poets are...
~CapitalD- this is my boy, he writes some fucked up shit but none the less it's so damn creative! Don't ever start a poem of his and not finish it... All his shit has some sort of ironic ending.. you owe it to yourself to read his writing. I wrote a poem about him called, "Kid in Black"
~Poetryality- I guess anyone who writes so much is bound to have a couple good poems.. The thing about her is that almost everything I've read has been amazing. For being from OH, she is pretty talented! Read "New Age-Wave" it's a great poem...
~Intel- For liking boys he's not a bad poet... haha just jokin big B.. or am I? Anyways, yea, he's my friend and he'd be pissed if I didn't put his name on my favorites but regardless, he has one of the most amazing ability to mix rhyme, rythme, and profound meaning. His poetry is one of the kind and I think everyone has something to learn from him.
~BlackHoleHeart- I'm still in the process of reading his poems, but his style is the shit. His poem "No Soup for you" is badass...
"genocidal fucks
the kids who got left behind
what a great fucking life
to be brought to orgasm by ostracism
what a great fucking li(f)e"

Rain On on February 7, 2004Well, (on depression's obsession) I didn't mean for any of it to rhyme, I just like the idea that depression was obsessed with me instead of me drowning in it. Thanks for you comment.
