I've been writing poetry for a few years (my first poem was written in September, 2001) but I still consider myself quite an amateur.
I write mostly to help process information, emotions, and events in my life. As a result, some of my poetry is quite sad. But in general, I'm a pretty happy person. Just thought I'd let you all know so you don't think my sad poetry represents my life as a whole.
On the other hand, I also write about hope and encouragement, especially through the help and guidance of God. He has been the overriding theme throughout all my poetry, even if you can't always tell. He is the one thing that gets me through all the hard times I write about.
Anyway, I love writing and am curious to see what others think of my poems (that is one reason why I joined this site). Enjoy!

Here is a list of how many poems I've written each year since I started writing:
2001: 11 poems (all online)
2002: 7 poems (all online)
2003: 16 poems (all online)
2004: 76 (all online)
2005: 276 (all online)
2006: 46+ (still writing)

Methodic Breakdown on October 13, 2005Hey there! I'm going around to thank everyone personally for joining the class! It's great to see that it got such a great response. They already want me to come back next session to teach again! They don't even know if I can teach yet! I can,. I promise...remember to keep involved with the class over the next 8 weeks!
