A Modern Day Poet of Magic
I know a lady of words and of rhyme
Who writes of her friends and her dogs all the time,
She’s written for you and she’s written for me
And it’s plain as the nose on your face for to see,
She’s a modern day poet of magic.
She’s written of trains and she so well describes
The journey she’s taking and what she imbibes,
Laughing and loving the fun that she’s had
As she puts us in verse, why even her dad,
She’s a modern day poet of magic.
A Stormy Night, The Rag and Bone Man,
Will I be so Old, Will Bluemonday Stand,
The Beach, I Love, and remember Audition,
Are many of hers that have come to fruition,
She’s a modern day poet of magic.
Lulu Gee is her name, I’m sure she won’t mind
If I write her name here, then I hope she will find
That we love all she writes, if it’s sad or for fun
And I know she sits up 'fore the day has begun,
She’s a modern day poet of magic .
So I ask you good folks to raise a full glass
And if you can do so, get up of your arse
And join me in thanking this lady of prose,
There’s no doubt in our mind and everyone knows,
