Lovely Amaranth• Show poetry

I mostly write about love, lost love, young love, I'm a hopeless romantic sometimes and I tend to express it in my poems. The rest seem to be a little sad or slightly on the dark side. I don't rhyme much, I mostly free verse.

The poems I wrote about Brandon are mostly my older poems, written years ago. He was a big part of my life. The biggest changing point, if you will. We couldn't be together because of his parents; they hated me. So when he broke up with me, I was quite crushed. I'm older now and don't regret anything. I cherish his friendship that we have now because at one point we wouldn't even talk. Once we didn't talk for about a year. It feels better knowing that he's my friend and not my enemy.

And the poems about A.D. are much newer and there will probably be more to come soon enough. A.D. was the one that helped me move on, away from Brandon. We dated for 3 1/2 years and were engaged for one of those years. Ended recently. We had dated in 5th grade once, but we were kids then. After that we didn't speak until the summer before high school and then we became best friends and now he were are again.

Sometimes I like to write poems about specific views I have. I am pretty much 99.9% liberal from what I've understood so far. However, I could care less what you are. I won't hold it against you if you tell me as long as you show me the same respect.

I love to debate and if you do to maybe you should send me a message sometime and we'll conversate. I'm also an artist in general. I explore many different things. So far I really like pen and ink. Sometimes it's frustrating, but you just have to have some patience. I mostly draw and shade. Watercolors are not my friend. I can use them, but I hate them. I like to read every so often. The Vampire Chronicles are some of my favorite books and I love to read them. My favorite book is "Where the Red Fern Grows". I read it when I was much younger and it made me cry, so it stuck with me ever since.

My favorite band is The 69 Eyes, they're from Finland and the singer, Jyrki, is my favorite. His deep voice gets to me every time ♥. However, I like many different kinds of music, so more than likely, we'll have one in common. Unless it's rap, I'm not really big on that one...but I have my moments with it as well.

I ♥ anime. My favorite is one called, X, which hardly anyone knows. I also love, Samurai X, Rouroni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fushigi Yuugi, Inuyasha, Ah My Goddess, and more that I can't remember right now. Yes, sometimes I also read manga if I have time and I'm just wondering around Hastings. Plus, I read the Inuyasha manga specifically since the show is now over.
