it can be fun but most of it is dark and meaningfull i write from my heart and that shows in what i write i love a little too much so that show through i am mabe the most foolish person ever i luv boyz there to intresting to not notice i just wanna belong thats all i want a place to call home i guess i havint realy had a home im a drifter who clings on anything or any feeling its pathetic i kno but i guess thats me i love to write its my ecape my vent i was at a bad place mentaly this place was getting at me makeing me so mean and unloving i had to get out and the main reson i got out was my writing it kept me going and my mother im out yayyy lol i feel way better i am starting work on my demo so life is good i kept my head up and im here now i think music is a vent for me too i can listen to a song and fly away in it everything else dissapears i love to write i hope i make it in the business thanks for listening

You will find so much to do here; poetry of all genres, fun contests, a Chatterbox (and IM) to talk with your friends. AP is an interactive site; we ask that you comment on/critique 4 poems for each one that you post (don't worry, it's not as difficult as it sounds!).
You'll notice a yellow shield by your name; this indicates that you are a Preferred Member. When your free trial membership expires, you can still post your own and comment upon other's poems, you'll just lose the ability to upload your own images (and a few other benefits - you can see them in the 'Store' tab...). But you can still purchase a Preferred or Uber membership if the benefits appeal to you - doing so will help support the site, but it is not mandatory.
Points are used to promote your poetry and run your own fun contests. You earn them by commenting on other people's poems (not to mention that they in turn read and critique yours) or you can buy them - again, check out the 'Store' tab.
You can promote your work, in the Featured Box or in Shameless Promotion (directly below the Chatterbox). Please Do Not Promote In The Chatterbox. People have been fined points for doing so, and nobody wants to see that happen.
