SHE'S THE YOUTH OF A THOUSAND SUMMERS.
by Lowell Poe
Out of the west,
of women song and sun,
and throngs of cyber air waves,
is the Eve of every Adam,
the maiden who saves herself,
the damsel who's only distress
is the endless search for words,
that will fill her heart,
and yours.
No man or woman would
find a better friend.
Her absents from my sight
would never diminish
her power and her beauty
that her poems bring.
Out from the dusty plains
to the urban cities,
she reverberates in my soul.
She guards and comforts my spirit.
Where ever I may roam
her poetry in scrolls
that lie by my nap sack
are read by my fire
like prayers to my heart.
Hearken back to the days of yore!
When her words
would have soothed
the roaming nomads.
See the present unfold,
as you whisper her heart,
in her literature.
Look towards the
uncertain future bravely.
Her words will comfort you.
You can use them,
share them.
They are for us all.
her gift to strangers,
her gift to me,
as I stand
undeserving,
but forever grateful.
A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Oh, the comfort - the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person - having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.
- Dinah Craik
Reality is merely an illusion...albeit a persistent one.
- Albert Einstein
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.
- Helen Keller
...Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.
- Charles Swindoll
A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart.
- Johann Wolfgang Goethe, from "Faust"
Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed

"Our lives are not as limited as we think they are; the world is a
wonderfully weird place; consensual reality is significantly flawed; no institution can be trusted, but love does work; all things are possible; and we all could be happy and fulfilled if we only had the guts to be truly free and the wisdom to shrink our egos and quit taking ourselves so damn seriously. "I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.
Delicious Ambiguity. "
— Gilda Radner
"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it's yours."
