People tell me I speak in poetic terms. Some see it as some great romantic quality, others view it as pretentious garbage, that reminds them too much of their school days. I agree with both entirely. Unfortunately the exuberent verbosity displayed in my speech does not translate well to poetic subject matter.
I'm 21 years old, born and bred in Ireland. What do I think of being from a land of such presteigous poetic prowess? Not a whole heck of a lot. As unusual as this stance may be for someone writing on a poetry website, I have a severe dislike(perhaps loathing) of 80% of the poetry read in my life. Then again, how much can one appreciate what is forced down their throat.

South Park etc.
To know me one must know:
I have only loved once. I made the incalculatable mistake of bringing that relationship to an end. I don't hate myself for it but find it very difficult to let it go.
At work, in school, in the bar I'm the mysterious one, unconventional in many terms. Well I can tell you that while many may claim to find these features charming the majority would much rather take a risk free option. Being the likeable alternative in the group does identify one as an individual, but you're guarenteed to be the one going home alone at the end of the night.
I tend to be the good samaritan of whatever bunch. If you're having a bad night, I will inevitably be the shoulder you cry on. I would never take advantage of this kind of situation, as much as I have had the oppertunity to do so. While I do like to help, it is kind of a kick in the teeth. All around people can be becomming intimate, while I hear the most intimate details of ones life with nothing to show for it. I hope that doesn't sound selfish of me. It's just a hard thing to do.
I'm not all doom and gloom I can assure you. I try to have a positive outlook. Thats why you'll find my half decent poetry carry messages of hope.
I'll levae you with: Always remember to "Fly high, Fly Free" and "Never give up a single one of your tomorrows for any number your yesterdays".

MY "POETRY"
Poetry in its loosest sense. An awful lot of people think that just because you rhyme you're just joking around and not to be taken seriously. I think I rhyme because when I write I am generally writing songs, even without a tune, they are all songs. I try to carry a life message or bagfull of emotion with every piece.
As I write this I have only been writing a couple of weeks. Its been a great outlet for my feelings that otherwise, I don't know what to do with.

at home
drawing pictures
of mountain tops
with him on top
lemon yellow sun
arms raised in a V
dead lay in pools of maroon below
daddy didn't give attention
to the fact that mommy didn't care
king jeremy the wicked
ruled his world
Jeremy spoke in class today
Jeremy spoke in class today
clearly I remember
pickin' on the boy
seemed a harmless little fuck
but we unleashed a lion
gnashed his teeth
and bit the recess lady's breast
how could I forget
he hit me with a surprise left
my jaw left hurtin
dropped wide open
just like the day
like the day I heard
daddy didn't give affection
and the boy was something mommy wouldn't wear
king Jeremy the wicked
ruled his world

You let me breathe sweet Air* again
what a joy, I almost cried.34 lines, 1 comment, October 15, 2006. In Love -
Its a war that wages on so many fronts.
It claims the lives and minds of so many. -
I feel so depressed I want to die,
I cut myself to see I'm still alive.

lenore on May 18, 2006^-^; That was almost the point but not quite! I don't know so much. Watching my anime, and it came to me, in an almost creepy fashion. Just get back to me when you can think of something to say about it.
