My poetry is kind of confusing I have to admit. I can’t really help it. I usually write when I’m kind of down. It the only way I can get my thoughts down on paper and in some semblance of order. That means that a lot of my literature is prose, not poetry. But that doesn’t mean it has no beauty, it just doesn’t have flow. It’s kind of my way of talking to myself. Odd, huh? I guess I talk to myself enough anyways. All artists have some insanity in them, right?
I love music most of all when it comes to expressing myself. I’ve played the piano since I was six. I can’t say I’m amazing or anything, cuzz I’m not, but I love music. It’s amazing to be able to make your own rain, play the wind, and just create your own beautiful world with notes, melodies, and harmonies. The only problem is I can’t play when I’m in a foul mood. It just doesn’t work. I can’t feel the music. So that is when I have to write, or sometimes I sketch or paint. I love the Arts. They are the best ways for me to express my feelings and thoughts, and influence those I don’t know.
I’m one of those people that hate drama. I hate it in my life, or in other people’s. So sometimes I hate things I’ve written or drawn when I’m really emotional. Be it angry, sad, in love, whatever. But I’m starting to learn that drama shouldn’t be taken out of life, it is life. Drama is the expression of emotion, and if you take that out of life, then you end up to be a pretty heartless person. Some people are more dramatic than others, but that is how they express themselves. Other people, like ourselves, express our emotions through our poems. They become who we are.
Who am I? I am a “stupid girl” that works hard in school, loves to learn about people and the world, and lives by my religion. I’ll tell you right here and now that I am Mormon. Don’t bug me about it, and I won’t convert you. Okay? Okay. My religion is not what I believe…it is who I am. But like I was saying...I love people and learning about them. I want to learn as much of everything as I can. I want to understand why people like the things they do and always have some common ground with everyone. I spend much of my time reading, writing, and playing piano. Right now, I am working on 5 novels, and it is my goal in life to finish and publish at least one of them. I don’t care if it’s a hit or not, just as long as it helps someone lead a better life.
I really hope my poems are of interest to some of you. Maybe some of you will even be special enough to understand them
I look forward to reading some of yours.
Some quotes by me
Normal people are the strangest kind.
Truth is only the way we each perceive the road all must travel.
We cannot choose where the path ends, only how we get there...we humans have the idea that we can control our lives, that we have the power, but you and I? We know that isn’t true. All we can control is how we see the path we know we must take.
The road is strait and narrow, it turns neither to the right nor to the left; it can never be easier nor harder, it just is. The only choice we really need to make is whether to press forward or to go back.
The end doesn't really matter; the only thing that matters is what we learned while getting there.
Just because you took the harder road, doesn't mean that it was the wrong one.
