My relationship with writing has been a journey filled with starts, stops, twists, and turns. Writing birthday ditties for family and friends, and crafting mystery and gothic-type stories in my early years created the foundation upon which I slowly built, honing my writing skills over many years, and, as this process is ongoing, I will be doing so for the rest of my life. As I change, my writing changes, yet sometimes, even within the same time frame, I have written poetry or prose that completely differs in style. Some of my writing leans towards the metaphysical and spiritual, whereas many other poems are love and soulmate poems. I look forward to reading many of the poems at this site.
UPDATE: June 18, 2008 - I'm one of the "old-timers" who hasn't been around for several years. I recently popped in to see how the site has changed, and to update the background pages of my site. Allpoetry had altered most of my pages, including my homepage, while I was away. I feel like I need a user manual to figure out how the site now works...things have definitely changed over the last few years! Another major change was for me personally, when I moved from Canada to the U.S. in July/05, whereby I became a permanent resident of the U.S.
Well, I hope to bump into some of the people whose sites I frequented, and who frequented mine. There was one loss that I was very sad to find out about - Patric Patterson (Repomen79). Not only was he an incredible poet, but, most of all, he was a wonderful, kind, insightful, and inspirational human being. I hope that he's watching over all of us here at Allpoetry, wherever he may be. He will always be remembered by those who knew him and befriended him.
I look forward to meeting some new people, perhaps, kindred spirits, now that I plan to frequent the site more often. :-)

And reassures things will be well,
Let nothing interrupt your song.
So your heart sings your whole life long.........All is well -
Dreamweaver on February 27, 2002You are correct Lin.. I am in the process of deleting my page. I have had enough of the double standards at AP. It is suppose to be a poetry site.. Yet the powers that be let 'anything' be said. I am not looking for rave comments from everyone for everyone. But some of the things that are being allowed to stay on a persons poem is just downright degrading. And worse.. nothing is done about it. So I will take this opportunity to say cheerio...
It has been fabulous knowing you Linda
