Greetings and welcome to my page of poetry. Make yourself comfortable and feel free to indulge in a few of the poems scattered about.
I started writing poetry in Spring 2004 after losing my mum to cancer. This really devastated me and at the same time seemed to awaken my muse. Then all of a sudden I was spouting poetry...well, slowly. I haven't really written that many poems in total, but there are a few people who seem to admire them and say I'm getting better each time, so poetry seems to have become my 'thing'. However, I do have this little problem where my muse likes to go on prolonged holidays, often for months at a time, and then decides to come back to work for a day or two before buggering off again. Still, I cope. And I still enjoy those few times where I write a poem - especially when the result is pleasing.
Anyway, I would be very grateful for your comments and advice - all poets need to tweak and twitch in order to improve their work and style. I do hope you enjoy reading!

These three people are all excellent poets and absolutely wonderful people! If you don't know them, you're at a loss.
Maerad - Also known as Nicky. She's my bestestest friend in the whole world and I love her. She's written two poems for me entitled 'I could drown in the desert' and 'I want to see you smile' which are incredibly beautiful. Go check out her page! allpoetry.com/poets/Maerad
externalalias - Aka Clare. Also such an amazing friend. She's been through hard times, but as we all know this makes the working of a great poet. She seems to spout poems day after day, but the increasing quantity does by no means deplete the quality. Her poems are fantastic and definitely worth a look. allpoetry.com/poets/externalalias
Zonia - Aka Anna. A new found friend on AP, and I'm lucky to have found her! A very kind and supportive person and has helped me much since I arrived here in the way of encouragement to write more poetry. She is an expert herself at poetry, in my opinion, and one to whom I aspire. Here's her amazing work: allpoetry.com/poets/Zonia
