This poem was given to me by a dear friend. I luv his style and insight to each and every poem he writes.
Cleopatra
Why do you love me mighty Caesar?
Is not my lips and nose to wide?
Cleoprtra, it is not your nose or lips, I love.
It is your intellegence and wit, my love.
Why Caesar did you weep at Alexander's?
Because Cleopatra he was far greater than me.
Just keep your charms my lovely one.
Mighty Caesar, I do not understand.
Do you really think I am so lovely?
What a little vixen you are dear innocent child.
With your dark teasing eyes and exotic naive smile,
Your skill in Lust the soothsayers will sing,
Praising your tales of our love renowned.
Then why did you weep at Alexander's feet?
You don't understand my dark haired beauty.
Tell me again why you love me Caesar?
Because your hips are wide and furtile as the Nile.
Your fame will outlive the Pyramids and Sphinx.
You are but 18, and I am just an old man.
