~In Memory~
Weep not
For I am at peace
The breath I breathed
Is all that has ceased

Alive I am
As within you I walk
Please I ask
Open the door when I knock

For I will guide you
With choices you make
I am within you
And every breath you take

I am your friend, your father

My life hasn't ended

An Inaccuracy of Time

with a soft and unhurried observation

whisper-
the epistles of your name

caress the contour

within-
the wall in which they have been etched

with-

strayed shards
resembling-
days that have now been discarded

often weep
viewing-

the miss marked marble
retaining-
troubled treasures

an inaccuracy of time

This was written after my first visit to the cemetery.
They had placed the wrong year of death on the wall.
Absolutely horrifying and I didn't even realize what I
was writing until it was finished. A devastating moment
captured well.

Void of roses abundant;
petals embellished the page
of proposed pledges

This was written in place of my sister's wedding
invitations. She was murdered when she was 16 and
I never had the opportunity to write them for her.......

So, this is what they would have been.
Oh, there is no date of death listed as we do not know the date.

Love's
Energy
Awakens
New
Chances
Everyday!

Lost in hurt for far too long
Every fiber of her being screamed in pain
After all this loss her heart resigned
Never to let her mistress love again
Change came though, through poems and prose
Evolving and healing her into a goddess of LIGHT

Leance is so full of love and light,
having come from a place of sadness and loss,
that I figured I'd write her a short ditty or
two to show that she is appreciated!
She is a true spirit of light!
