I;m me. I only write poetry about things that have happened to me. I can enter contests if I can make them relevant to me. Its like method acting - I need to remember how I felt. I need to remember what was going on at that time.
Best time to write for me is when something has just happened. It comes out without thinking. thats always my best poetry.
