Your spirit of fame

You keep changing names
yet feeling the same
let me name you
seeing what I'd do.

I'd call you Bane
a son of Cain
whose heart of gold
felt suffering as foretold.

I'd call you Rock
for your honest stock
and the solid way
to what you say.

I'd call you Gar
the sword that spars
the enemy of Celts
sheathed in wolfish pelts.

I think you feel
like cold blue steel
rigid but in need
of warmth to feed.
