When my First Born Daughter died aged 26 in 1992. I wrote a collection of poetry called "In Loving Memory" I was devastated, I would have been happy just to die. Some of "In Loving Memory" are dedicated to my "Loved Ones" who have died, they are all special to me. My God and my Pen helped me through my Grief. Although I will never ever be the same again, death has touched and robbed me too many times.
I have written on other topics, but I am putting these on Allpoetry first as "In Loving Memory."
People say that from every experience you grow, I didn't grow, I didn't become a better person. There was nothing beautiful about losing her in death. It was a nightmare watching the affects of Cancer, tear all of our lives apart. As I write this, perhaps I did learn something, perhaps I learned to rely on God more for his Loving Kindness and mercy.
I do beleive that one day I will have her, and my other loved ones back in perfect health and sickness and death will be no more. Revelation 21; 3 - 5. Until that day comess I live my life contentedly, with my husband for over 42 years, I'm a wife, mother of four, and have five grandsons between 5 and 24 years of age. I enjoy life and I ride a bike and like to rollar skate, build snowmen,go to the beach and write. Although some of my poetry is sad, it was written when my daughter died, and put in the cupboard where it has lain since 1992. I respect people, and I ask that they too are respectful back. If you do not want me to email you or comment on your work, Then please tell me politely and I will respect your wishes. After all manners cost nothing.
