Hey, I'm Kylie. I started writing poems when I was a Junior in high school, after finally reaching my breaking point and needing some kind of venting source. I've always been extremely shy and kept the vast majority of my true emotions and feelings bottled up. Thankfully, after beginning to write, I was able to get them out without having to worry about telling someone and then having them think that my feelings were silly or wrong.
The only poetry that I have actually been taught how to write was Hiaku's (in High School). The rest I completely wing for the most part. Personally, I love rhyming poetry that not only rhymes, but also tells a story as well. This is the main thing that I am trying to be able to do successfully at the moment. I am hoping that, with some more practice, I'll continue to get better.
