Alot of my older poetry is extrememly dark. I was 23 with three children under 2 when I got divorced from my first husband. Many of the most violent or dark poems were written during that time frame, or in my teen years. I still like to post it because it made me who I am (dates are included), but some may find it a little disturbing.
I am a happily married mother of three teenage boys with a lot of baggage about my past. Ever so slowly my new husband (of 8 yrs) has taught me that I don't need to carry my past everywhere. Alot of my recent poetry has to do with learning to reconnect and shed what we always refer to in our home as the ghost (The baggage I brought into our marriage) from my past. Please understand that in the death of my past is my new life. To my family on here: don't worry it's the only the death or seperation from the ghost or the baggage I carry that I speak of now not myself or my marriage
