Basically what I can tell you now is that I use much metaphor and imagery in my poetry. I rhyme in most of these poems, but I have a passion for free verse and wish to use it more often.
I used to write some morbid poetry here and there, so don't be surprised if you run into some from the past. Morbid doesn't necessarily mean I wrote about suicide, because I really didn't. So if you're wondering what I mean by morbid, well, you'll have to interpret that on your own. Other poems of mine can seem very uplifting, playful, thought provoking and challenging. There's some variety in this collection. I'd like to sort them into categories, but one person could get an entirely different sense of meaning than another person reading the same poem. Thus, you see why I don't like to categorize.

It takes time for me to write each poem; I've become precise with my words and like to understand the full meaning that can be interpreted from everything I'm writing. That means I'll look up words to know their full definition, and put it to use. I spell check. (Although, some of my older poems are under revision or need to be.)

I really appreciate comments that are actually critiquing my work and yet still giving me personal thought and opinion. I enjoy when a person will tell me what they see expressed in the poem.
