I have been gone for a while but now I am back. I think my head needed a break from the pressure of poetry and prose but now I realize that this pressure is essential to who I plan to be. I am holding nothing back this time. There will be thoughts from every corner of the mind; structured and not structured. I have recently gone through some disciplining that was much needed and now I must apply this discipline to all areas in life. This includes my writing.

Swing, Little Sister (For Kay)
Swing High
into the sky
above the world
beautiful girl
swing your heart out
have fun and shout
while you're young
have all the fun
Swing all day long
birds sing a song
look at her swing
worry about nothing
sweet girl smile
laughter for awhile
Kiss the sun
special one
Kay in your swing
enjoy everything
all is alright
your world is bright

It's not the skull; it's the wall...
Poem 50 ("I lost my way, I forgot ...") from "Book of Mercy"
I lost my way, I forgot to call on your name. The raw heart beat against the world, and the tears were for my lost victory. But you are here. You have always been here. The world is all forgetting, and the heart is a rage of directions, but your name unifies the heart, and the world is lifted into its place. Blessed is the one who waits in the traveller's heart for his turning.

Great Quotes:
"A poem . . .
begins as a lump in the throat,
a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. . . .
It finds the thought
and the thought finds the words."
Robert Frost
I am not bound to please thee with my answers.
-William Shakespeare
If there be nothing new, but that which is
Hath been before, how are our brains beguiled,
Which, labouring for invention, bear amiss
The second burden of a former child!
O, that record could with a backward look,
Even of five hundred courses of the sun,
Show me your image in some antique book,
Since mind at first in character was done!
That I might see what the old world could say
To this composed wonder of your frame;
Whether we are mended, or whether better they,
Or whether revolution be the same.
O, sure I am, the wits of former days
To subjects worse have given admiring praise.
-The One and Only Shakespeare...
"Sometimes you've got to specifically go out of your way to get into trouble. It's called fun."
- Robin Williams
