Welcome dear Reader,

Who am I ??

My name is Katja (Sunshine) Hochlan,

I was born into this world on July 15th 1991 in the state of Virginia. I am the first in my family to be born in the United States of America from Germany. I now currently reside in Iowa, though i long to go back to the lands of my family, in the Schwarzwald in Deutschland. The only thing keeping me here is my Mom (g-ma) and my love.

My first language is Sign Language, as I am half deaf. It is followed by English, German, Japanese, and Mandarin. I am learning Russian and Italian. My passion is languaes, as I hate being miss-understood. one of my life goals is to break down the communication barriers that are held up in the US and around the world...helping those that would otherwise be left alone. * I am still learning English- please forgive me for any spelling or grammer mistakes.. and help me learn so that I may correct them and gain knowledge*

I have graduated from High School, earning my diploma, and 39 credits of college credit in Dual classes with the Academy. I am now in a community college being re-certified as an EMT (Emergencey medical Technician). After which I hope and plan to transfer to a 4 year University to carry out my educational goals. I currently study Religion, Psycology, Mathematics, EMT, History, and Foriegn Languages Translation. I have not yet decided my major or minor.

I joined the United States Army Reserves at 17 as a Combat Medic. I turned 18 in Basic Combat Training. I was medically discharged due to finding that I developed Asthma from black mold spores. One of my battle buddies was killed in a training accident. I have seen the worst side to the war...Please if you have any hatred toward the U.S. or the Military, please, Please do not say it to me. You have right to your own opinions, please dont over-step that.

I do not hold to any stereo type. I dress in black mostly, thus I am called gothic. I like dark things, like colors and shades. I sometimes wear very bright colors, though never yellow...i like the color.. but i wont wear it...my Mom made me wear it too much as a child. ^_^ My mood depends on the day, as I have battled with depression since childhood (from being hurt by many men in ways that no female should ever indure). I can be happy and random at times...as well as withdrawn and cold.

My favorite colors are Black, Red, Blue (any shades of each)

I am vegitarian...tho not by choice. I can not eat red meat. I have not eaten red meat since I was a very small child, and I got sick back then.


Deeper look... personality, mind status... the works??

I am a person who does not conform to others beliefs, or ways of life. I am my own person, and choose my own path...I do not preach to anyone, as I wish to not be preached at myself. I will not tell you my religious path, unless you wish to know. If you can not tell my beliefs from my poetry, or my words...and you truely are curious, then please ask...and dont assume. Too many have assumed that they know me, and it only ended in pain and missory for all..

My mind and past is one of trials and darkness, thru times of great pain both physical and emotional. Please do not try to "figure" me out. I am a fairly emotional person. As I will share my deepest emotions and thoughts. I struggle in my mind to comprehend why bad things happen to those that deserve happyness...and yet I have not found an answer...

I hold pride in my loyalty and trust. If you break my trust, you never get it back. As I have been hurt way too much to risk it. I am willing to listen to anyone that wishes an ear. I never repeat what is said to me...as I entrust what I say will never be repeated if said in confidence...

If you wish to know anything else about me, just ask. I am open when it comes to questions. So becarefull what you ask, and make sure you Want to know the answer...I do not get offended easily, so please do not worry about it. And if I do get offened I will let you now civily. I dont get irate unless I have a very, very good reason for it.
