I started writing poetry when I was in the 5th grade. My teacher had us learn about poems and create poems of our own and pictures to go with them to make it look like a book. I got a B on that project and I still have it somewhere. I should dig it out and post a few. I have written poetry ever since.
I recently am in the editing stages of my first novel (non-poetry, fiction)and hope to contact a publisher early next year or maybe late this year. I already have ideas for a second novel. I've added one poem to my first novel and will continue to do that when I wrote more novels.
I just love writing in general. You can escape into a world on pages, whether its through a poem or a story.
So escape with me. Come into my world. Sit and read for a while.
