I am a Christian woman, and my faith forms the backbone of who I am. My poetry often reflects that, but I also write as my therapy in tough times, or when I am bored, and my poetry reflects that too. I love the absurd things in life, have a faintly sarcastic sense of humor and a flair for the dramatic. All these things show themelves in what I write, but everything, be it spiritual, dark, silly or whatever, is built around an unashamedly romantic(but not gag-me sappy) nature. Some will not like that, and that's okay. I like it, and I hope you will too.

The Bard : kids... on June 3A father is caught up in the stages of his children's lives -- toddler to teen to adult. As those children age, it is hard to let go the prior stage, to recognize the growth of character and the emotional maturity that sneaks up from nowhere.
Karen is one of my children, and her wisdom and emotional security are firmly anchored in who she is in Christ. I am humbled by the words she crafts as she speaks to me as much as to anyone else. I read these poems, and more often than not have to wipe tears from my eyes -- tears of laughter, tears of sorrow, tears of gratitude.
Karen, I am proud of you. You have exceeded the scriptural encouragment to "honour your father and mother" ...
Love yah munchkin! -

Bethie : Just because you needed a guestbook entry. :) on January 27, 2007This author is SO great, because she rocks as a human being! She's a genious (especially when it comes to scheming), hilarious, sweet, romantical, strong, kind and just all around superfantabulous. And she needed a guestbook comment, because that portion of her page was lonely.
Loves to you Karen!
