Karen HarperShow poetry

I'm studying writing at New College of California. Some of what's here is my thesis work; some of it is older stuff.

Most of my poetry is fairly personal and often spiritual in some regard, and helps me to get feelings out of my head and onto paper. I try to capture the miracles and lessons present in everyday life through my poems. I am Pagan and a lover of nature, and my poetry often reflects that. I'm hoping that allpoetry will inspire me to write more.

Right now I'm working on two collections-- one is Autumnal, which will eventually be a compilation of autumn-themed poems celebrating the turning Wheel of the Year. The other is Tarot, a collection of poems revolving around the various symbolism and archetypes of the Tarot cards. Both are still in progress, like everything else here. I welcome constructive criticism on all my work.

Thanks for reading!

This is how I would die into the love I have for you:
as pieces of cloud dissolve in sunlight.
