I'm currently a student of English and Creative Writing at a small seaside university in Wales. Writing has been a compulsion for me all my life, though poetry is a relatively new thing for me, as I usually write prose. I like poetry as a form for expressing little twinges of emotion, and more oblique ideas and images. My poetry definitely feels more personal than any prose pieces I have written. It's a form particularly suited to catharsis --- when you just need to write down everything you're feeling, no matter how complicated. Recurring themes in my poems seem to be relationships, and my observations of the people and landscape around me.

Kaleidoscope Eyes on April 16, 2005I'm in Wales and it's actually late morning, not 4am! I'm not crazy, don't worry! And these poems were actually written over several months. I'm not that prolific, unfortunately...
