I write poetry about everyday things and as life has been reasonably dramatic there's usually plenty to write about. I do a lot of creative things and never quite know what to do with them, as there's a limit to how many can be given as gifts and we live in a small house. Poetry doesn't take up much space. I don't always know where it has come from but it satisfies a need. Trains are my favourite place to write. I do write them for friends and family but I also write from my imagination.
I like to write rhyme or at least something that scans and has some sort of beat. I'm looking for fellow poets who think along the same lines. Mainly for mutual inspiration. I don't need to waffle on here as it's all in the poems. So please feel free to enjoy them at your leisure

-LilacThOughts- : Hood-Wink! on June 19Hi Jude
Guess what? You’ve been ambushed! The group, ‘The Poetic Bandits’ do something called Hood-Wink, where we all come together with one chosen poet and comment on their poetry. You were the chosen poet. Hope you were encouraged by this and found it to be a blessing. Keep up the great writing and thank you for your contributions through poetry on this site….
All the best...

Piccola on March 19You might want to check the spelling on your bio,
"I'm not agnst ridden or looking for the meaning of life; although I consider myself spiritual. I like to write sad stuff when I'm happy and imagine I'm someone else."
I think the word agnst is just a slip...probably too anxious to get it down and left out the 'ai"
Still, when you go to critique someone's poetry they often come to look at your page and then they laugh when you have mistakes as well. -
