All I Can Do... (revised)
(dedicated to my wife, Kathy,)

Words cannot begin to express
  the sorrow that I feel
towards the events that
have unfolded of late…

It seems that life
has dealt us a bad hand
my love,
and bluffing
won’t make that hand
any easier to win…
But just the same,
we must play it as it comes…

I know of late,
I’ve been tough to live with,
for I have my good days
and bad days…
And within those good and bad days,
good and bad moments…

My life changed this summer,
from one looking forward
for many years into the future,
a future with you…
It has changed since then,
to trying to find out,
what future,
I still have left…

There is so much,
I still want to do with you,
and I want to spend many years
doing these things with you…

The trouble is that now,
I don’t know,
if I have the time,
to do them…
All I do know is this,
the energy to do,
what I want to do
or
what I need to do
is not there, right now…

All I can do is try
to make the best
of each day,
as it comes…
If there is a best
to be found…

All I can ask you to do,
my love,
is this...

Please bear with me,
my love,
in the days, weeks, months,
and hopefully years
to come…

For it is only that hope
that sustains me…

Mike, everyday that I see the picture of your sweet girl on my myspace friends, I am reminded of you. I wish you could see how beautiful and talented she is I know you would be proud. But, of course, you always knew that. I hope your spirit is somewhere happy. Please know that whatever happens, Kim will always be loved by me and be my friend.

Found your kind words on one of my poems today and I realized it had been about a year since you left this world. I know I can just look around and I will find you in the wind...but somehow I wanted to come here and see your smiling face over there to the left. Warm hugs dear friend... hope you are happy and dancing on moonbeams.

    Mike,
I miss you greathly my friend and you are on my mind alot today. It seems like yesterday that you started writing here and still I cannot believe you have left us but I do know you are soaring through the ethers ssmiling down on us all. I know you hear me on some level, as all energies do once they cross but somehow I feel better typing it out here for you. You are missed.
    Hugs and Blessings as always,
    Gypsy
