Describing myself has never been an easy thing for me to do.
I am very interested in the arts. Bound to them, I should say. If I don't create, if my voice isn't heard, I feel as if I don't even exist.
I am pursuing an education in digital arts. That is to say, animation, 3d CG, video, motion graphics and flash scripting. Recently I have also began to study the development side of things - python, php, etc.
When I'm not sitting in front of a computer, I am reading, playing music, socializing with a healthy variety of people and, although not as much as I'd like, writing.
You'll probably notice that I've written very little in the past few years. Call it chronic writer's block, lack of inspiration, I really don't know. For years I couldn't tell you what I had for dinner the night before. Only in this past six months have I returned to an absolutely clear mind and a rich life.
So, about me.
I have no political views. As weird as it sounds, I see too much truth in every side of every coin to align myself with a single viewpoint. I can't tell you about world politics, but here in America, everyone has a bug up their ass and an over-bloated sense of self-righteousness.
When it comes to religion, I would like to say I am a member of all of them. I don't follow a single doctrine, but instead seek the thoughts and contemplations of humanity in general. The forms persist in every religion, every culture, along with an abundance of truths, and I really have no concern for the garments they wear.
I absolutely love music, and do not believe that we could exist without it. I listen to and play every genre - blues, reggae, rap, rock, metal, country, absolutely everything. There has never been a lousy style, only lousy songs. I have three saxophones and five guitars, all of which have contributed to much sweat, blood and tears in my life.
The Universe is connected, and everything in our world has a direct impact on everything else. Everyone contributes in their own unique way to what it means to be human. None of us are the human form in entirety, but simply a part of it. Just as one cell does not make a complete body, just as trillions of our cells live and die in our lifetime, so exists the individual human as a piece of the collective consciousness, the form of humanity that has outlived us by 100,000 years.
I firmly believe that we are on the brink of a new age. The world is changing rapidly, for better and for worse. People are becoming more and more united, more understanding of each other, and at the same time just as many people are basking in their irrational hatred and sense of pride. We are either approaching a Golden Age in human wisdom, or our inevitable self destruction.
So, maybe I explained myself. Maybe you're confused. I seek a friend in everybody, so don't be afraid to send me a message if there is something you'd like to talk about.

redbarchettadrive on June 15I love reading your POV in the group Biblical and Christian Conversation. Very interesting!
I'm Mark in east Tennessee. I did live in Temperance, Michigan from 1993 til late 1994.
And I seen a Tiger's game when I was a kid. Anyway... See ya on the boards Jim! -
Sokarjo on June 13You don't sound crazy at all to me.
In fact, I think I'll check out your work tonight when I get home. I have to go now, but I saw your comment on Pingwen's page and thought I should see who you are. I'll be back to read your work.

anamchara on March 1, 2008Ha! You're going to school about 2.5 hours from where I grew up... and where I still call home! Sarnia, Ontario. I'm a frequent traveller to Michigan... shopping mostly

I have to say, I too have quite enjoyed our conversations, and the ones that I have just read along with. You seem open and honest and that is something that I truly respect. You state what you believe, and ask questions about what others believe. I don't think these change your views, but neither is that the reason for conversation. Perhaps my agenda is different from others you have mentioned... I'm not out here to convert you to believe what I believe - It is to better understand another human being, what makes us tick, what we feel, what we fear and what we rejoice in. Diversity is one of the greatest gifts we have in this world!
Now I'm off to read some poetry!
