So...my name is Jake as you can very well tell. I am 19 and I live in Canada. I am just finishing up my second year of Computer science right now, and hoping to get my bachelor once I receive my diploma this summer.

I am a Christian, and my writing is based a lot on my struggle. Through the past few years a lot has happened, and because of the past I have had I cannot deal with change all too well. I have struggled to figure out where God and me really are at, and I write in hopes of figuring out who I am really trying to please with this life. So you may find some poems darker than others, but some will be suprisingly different than other poems.

I hope you enjoy my poetry, and leave me lots of comments. My goal is to eventually publish my own book filled with many of these poems. I am also working on a book on teen depression. Trying to show the emotions, and the reasons behind them, because it is an issue way to easily passed off these days. It is no longer a phase, teens are depressed, and while I doubt this thought of a book will ever be completed it is nice to have a goal.

Ok well I haven't slept in months, and I am actually feeling tired tonight so I will let you go. Once again, Please leave me comments or messages. I really enjoy hearing that someone knows I exist, or how I can improve my writing.

For this is the life that I choose,
One of pain and love,

This is my world and my life,
I have no choice except to live as it be,

They describe what people cannot see,
I may not be as old as you,
And I may not be anyone but me,
But I have seen the truth and I have seen the light,
I live life as it be,
And these pages portrays my life,
They may not be the best poems to see,
But they speak the truth,
And they speak for me.
