Hey everyone...
My name is Jailyn and I am new to this site, and new to poetry in general. I have always been a story writer but was never one for the whole 'teen angst' poetry thing until I started university and was required to write a number of things for my creative writing course. I personally don't think my poetry is that good, and probably is a little angst-y and emo, but I have gone from not liking poetry to finding it to be a really creative way of expressing feelings and emotions. Having said that, I hope you do enjoy what I have written and look it at from more of an emotion driven perspective, rather than with criticism and the idea of form and structure.
Besides my writing, the rest of my life consists of :
my family; I am the youngest of two children and I have an older brother, James, 23
Music: I play piano and sing
Friends: although most of them have moved away for uni, we still keep in touch and I have used university as an opportunity to meet some awesome new people
Sport: I play netball and soccer, my favourite team being aston villa of course
and a number of other things that I'm sure I can't remember right now. I am currently single, like to go out and party and dance, and pretty much just love living life...
