I am Renelle S.

You may call me Reni

Not what reality has shown,

But seeds her displaced soul has sown,

Now tall dark trees of verdant doubt,

That grow within, and hide without.

Alas this maiden warm and rare,

With eyes of blue and golden hair,

A proper lass, no tart or minx
Is much more than she knows or thinks.

 ---- By Kirbysman

Taken from a poem written for me, titled Elizabeth Rose, By Kirbysman. Thank you.

Sometimes we write because our mouth fail us. Sometimes we write because our mouth didn't fail us when we needed it to fail us. We spoke until we had nothing to speak of  except to speak of speaking and so it tired out. Died, if you will. Thus, leaving the dirty work to our brains. However, our brains tire out too with all that imagination and mind paint and imaginary canvases, so it vomits all over paper. It vomits very eloquently sometimes (and not so eloquently other times, which is the case most of the time here on AP).

Below, you'll taste a bit of my vomit. For you see, my mouth never shuts up when there is nothing good to say and it tires out quickly and becomes mute when I have many lovely, good things to say (effects of natural blondeism, maybe?), and so my imagination and true feelings are shown in bits of poetry and prose. Amongst my work you will also find just simple writings of nonsense to pass time and work to work the right side of the brain which is usually is dominated by my left side. I do hope you enjoy my virtual poetry book.

. . . .
Oh, and side note: My name is Renelle. I am English born, living in Canada, enjoying the moonlight from my roof on breezy summer nights; attending University of Toronto for Molecular Biology and Genetics and running around the city to vent stress. I play the piano, pet my dogs, paint like my life depends on it and I manage to sit down and sing "Oh McDonald's Had a Farm every now and then." That's all, I think. Have a good browse.

 Love has a face-

"It's going to take a lot to drag me away from you."

"Yellow sun
will unwind
to bind and entwine
in threads of shimmering shine
two spines to combine and
make them as one!
Captured - You're mine!"

"But love once loved is not a waste,

It shapes what we’re to be.

And given out, what’s now misplaced,

N’er comes with guarantee."

When I was a little girl, and pessimistic about something, my grandfather would take me to a large swamps near his Scottish farm and have me dig through some groove in the rotten tree and I would almost always find something that caught my interest. He'd say, "See, Reni, even ugly things almost always have pretty hearts."

Live by that, you pack of egotistical, selfish Homo sapiens!
Because we're almost always egotistical and selfish.
