I have been writing most of my 63 years and more in recent years. I was an infantry squad leader with the Marines in Viet Nam and have written some ballad style verse based on that experienced. Some of it is here in my collection \Aftermath: A Song or Tyrone\ and also in the book by the same name. (From Monument Press, of Memphis).
Actually most of my poetry is not in the ballad style I used so much in that book and I hope to release one of the two books I am putting together with my more usual style – soon.

Lurie on September 17, 2006Hello old friend!!!! It's been awhile hasn't it. I was in the hospital awhile. I really messed up my right leg and had to have surgery to fix it. I'm lucky to be walking again. But I'm back! I just entered bandaged's contest. It feels good to be writing here again!!! Lot's of Love! ~Laura
