Welcome, and thank you for checking out my page and poetry. I am a Christian guy and I do artwork and poetry because they release the passion, thoughts, dreams, and fears in me that otherwise wouldn't ever see the light of day.
MUSIC: Music is so important to me. It wakes up my soul and breathes life into even the bleakest day. I think it is one of the most special gifts God has given to mankind. I like many different styles, and really it depends more on the artist/band and sometimes the songs individually than just a certain kind of music, though I do tend to enjoy most PUNK and a fair amount of HARDCORE. But I like CLASSICAL and most other styles generally, too.
BOOKS: I am reading "Let It Begin With Me," by Charles Haddon Spurgeon, "The Attributes of God" by Arthur W. Pink, & "Poet Power" by Thomas A. Williams.

MY FAVORITES:
Bands/Music:
MXPX---I love most anything they do. I love them most of all.
SLICK SHOES---Pure fun!!! But what else could you expect from a band that gets its name from the movie THE GOONIES!!!
THE COOTEES---Featuring members of MXPX.
ARTHUR---Featuring Members of MXPX.
PRESCRIPTION---They are a local band, and they rock!!!
UPDATE: Prescription is NO MORE!!! Crap!!!
SQUAD FIVE-0---Christian glam rock. They rarely play the west coast, though!!!
SWITCHFOOT---For when I'm feeling blue (or Indigo, really) there is nothing more soothing.
CHEVELLE---They rock so well, and I was a fan back when almost no one knew who they were. I bet most of their current "fans" don't know about their first CD, much less actually own it. But, of course, I do!!!
TOO BAD EUGENE---Very cool punk band.
SAVES THE DAY---Some of the best emo around, and I just love their lyrics. Great summer-time driving music. It's come in really handy this summer. Woo Hoo!!!
PUSHSTART WAGON---This is great music, some of the best, but as far as I know, they aren't together anymore...waaa!!!
DELL GRIFFITHS---Same as Pushstart...waaa!!! They have a great song about Edward Scissorhands and a good cover of 'My Best Friend's Girl.' There is even a song called 'Anikin' that was waaay before the new Star Wars stuff and has nothing to do with it.
FIVE MINUTE RIDE---I saw them at the last show Prescription did. They're pretty freakin' good.
THE EVAN ANTHEM---Picked their CD up on a whim, and liked it. I usually have a good instinct of what I'll like even before hearing the band.
INTERPOL---Saw them on the Tonight Show. They were pretty good. HAH!!! Arthur is giving me their CD's! Yippie!!!
LUCERINE BLUE---I love them, I love them!!!
Movies:
PRINCESS BRIDE---True love rocks!!! It's "Inconcievable!!!"
ALIENS---By far, Sigourney Weaver's best work. A spectacular movie about triumphing over your greatest fears!!!
TOMB RAIDER 1 & 2---Confident, strong, smart women rock!!! Especially when they are built like Angelina and are packing guns.
PETER PAN---I loved this modern version of the story. It stayed so true to Barrie's idea and vision of what it was supposed to be.
HOLY GRAIL---Monty Python at it's best. If you haven't seen it, you need to.
THE MUMMY 1 & 2---I really enjoyed both of these, and I hope there is a third one. It was time for someone to do a modern movie about mummies again. Can't let the vampires and werewolves monopolize everything, after all.
RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK & THE LAST CRUSADE---The second movie had some good moments, but over all, I the first and third are the ones that really rocked my socks!!!
