In The Silence
by sadelmann
I can hear
her resolve,
her heart
hardening
against the
falling,
but I know
she cannot
help but
change her mind.
I can hear
in the silence
she is smiling.

my name is Sara. i'm your typical all american teen- i'm 17, a senior at beyer high who can't wait to get out of her medium sized incredibly boring hometown- modesto, ca. i'm choir president, get good grades, dance a couple hours a week, lead a small group at church, etc. i play the good girl role pretty well, but i drink on the weekends, smoke more than i should, and have dabbled in the...shall we say, hippie culture? (weeeed). i also happen to be bisexual, much to my mother's chagrin. i will soon be attending east carolina university in greenville, north carolina. (congratulate me). i can't wait to graduate and get out towards virginia, where both my amazing boyfriend resides. my ex-girlfriend/fiancee introduced me to him. his name is josh and he is awesome. my parents didn't exactly support my decision to be with my woman, therefore we now get along again because she broke my heart and proved them right. i live your typical money equals love existence...they buy me things, i pretend to be straight as far as they're concerned, it all works out in the end except nobody is really happy. i like school, but i'm ready for college. i plan to study occupational therapy and spend the rest of my life helping people. i have great friends and a decent life. i used to be incredibly depressed, but when i got over the hopes of sunshine and roses twenty-four seven and looked around, i realized i've got it pretty good and got over myself. i haven't written in a long long time and want to get back into it. my style can only be described as unique and ever changing. hope you like it, but if you don't, you can suck it.
