My name is Ben Gettler and I am an 19 year old male from Riverview, FL. My life is pretty straightforward; I go to work and I come home and then I do it again the next day. On the weekends I hang out with my friends and make independent films and read. I thoroughly enjoy using writing as a means of communication and expression.
My style of writing differs depending on the mood I am in at the time of conception. It can be anywhere from euphoric to sad and angry. My writing may not make sense to everyone but to some people it might convey the message I hope it will.
Lately I haven't been posting many pieces because I haven't had any inspiration.

Sabindi on June 2, 2006Thank you so much for commenting on my poem "Youthful Generation" I actually wrote this when I was about your age, which is why I could relate so well. I remember vivdly how confused and uncertain I was back then, how depressed I would get and how I felt nobody understood me. I am now an adult, in fact a grandmother, but I can still relate to those days as a teenager. In addition, today's world is so much more hectic than it was back then, so it must be so much harder for teenagers these days. Anyway, the good news is, that you will find what you are looking for and just remember, that what you are going through right now, will pass. Warm hugs, big smiles and lotsa love from me to you!!
