The pain of this mortal existence bends our minds inside-out to find once more a place of serenity. The mental gymnastics necessary to cope with life on this physical plane can stretch our consciousness until its source is no longer perceptible.
By freeing our minds from themselves, and filling our souls with those primeval passions and inspirations, poetry can help us once again find the kinship that underlies all of this conscious creation around us.
We thereby experience a form of sanity from the chaos, that keeps us whole, and reminds us that this life is truly beautiful.
