'Poetic Justice for the Drinking Brethren....We look at the crime and brand the man as criminal without checking out the circumstances that might have made him the way he is...drinking is not a crime..yet ..the obsession that is wrought by your thoughtful poem is eloquent...will make me look at all drunkards with compassion..me being a complete teetotaller, thanks for this exquisite eye opener---Shubs'.

"Verdict: Excellent work!
This to me reads as a story, one of a person afflicted with the dreadful disease of alcoholism. I know of this and you will see if you read my poem I'll Never Take Another Drink. It affected my family from the time I was born as my dad had already slipped into that bottle long before. My heart aches for anyone who has this disease. To see the cruelty of children teasing them as they lie propped against a wall totally obliterated hurts. Especially when you get close and see it is your dad they are teasing. Although many years ago and I was not quite a teen yet, I remember myself and my best friend helping to take him home. Whether an alcoholic or homeless or even both. I cannot pass by them without thinking of my dad still. They get a warm smile from me and if they ask for something I am there. This touched my heart, it was truly a lovely piece of work. "KT,
Maybe now you have crawled enough, and can walk that long distance you speak of. I think it's time you gave it a shot. Poetry of this calibre cannot be bettered, merely savoured for the beauty that it is.
