My screen name, Hsiao Kuo, is taken from the I Ching, Hexagram 62. Viewed one way, it speaks of success in many small ways, a sustainable lifestyle of restraint. Viewed in another way, it warns of failure in overreaching, and an inability to attain the great things in life.
My life is a mixture of blessings and failure. Painting and writing provide a way to express those feelings. As you look through my works, I hope you find more blessings than failures.
