HoneybellShow poetry

This is my little hiding place.

through twists and turns
Jasmine foxed me in her grove
arms filled with
Honeybells, St. Michaels
Sanford Bloods

"you have come to discover
what you want"
what I want is not to
want what isn't mine
"But I am Desire"
                  -T. Amos

I drink the honey
from inside your hive...
You are the reason
I stay alive
                  -T. Reznor

I am the son
And the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
Of nothing in particular
                  - The Smiths

All We Ever Wanted Was Everything
All we ever got was cold
Get up, eat jelly
Sandwich bars, and barbed wire
Squash every week into a day

The sound of drums is calling
The sound of the drum has called
Flash of youth shoot out of darkness
Factorytown

Oh to be the cream
                  -Bauhaus

And I'm gone
Like I'm dancing on angels
And I'm gone
through a crack in the past
Like a dead man walking

Two young men dancing under the lamplight
Shaking their sex and their bones
And the boys that we were
An alien nation in therapy
Sliding naked and new
Like a bad tempered child
On a rain slicked street
                     - David Bowie

And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her Roman nose
And her Walkman started to melt
                  - The Smiths

daddy dear, if i can kill one man why not two
well, nurses smile when you've got iron veins
you can't stain their pretty shoes
and pom poms and cherry blondes
and their kittens still wrapped in cement
from God's saviours to gumdrops
got me running girl as fast as i can
and is it right, butterfly,
they like you better framed and dried
                               - T. Amos

At times I do feel like I'm on exhibit and that I have to be 'appropriate' at all times.  I guess this is why this persona was created.  Perhaps here, I won't be so very crisp around the wings.  My other 'me' is alive and well elsewhere on the site, but I needed a little place to just be me and not the one that has to be good or even professional. Oh rambling is good, kinda like rainbows when I speak but saltier. Okay, so the Bauhaus funk has come along with some Bowie eccentricities and rage.

Hey Ms. Jones its Virginia, i read all your poems and they are very unique and i do believe you are the poet that is the most different on here. my favorite one in particular would have to be the one that went AAAIIIIIEEEEEE or something like that because i have never seen a poem that is only one word anyway if you ever get time check out a couple of my works if you could i would appreciate it. *she smiles and waves* oh by the way i shall tell no one of your name on here your secret is safe with me. *she winks and leaves* if i could applaud right now i would applaud all of them but sadily i cannot.
