HinemoaShow poetry

Hinemoa was a Maori Heroine. She swam across lake Rotorua to her lover Tutanekai and they took her into their tribe. Lots of Maoris claim to be their descendants. It is a famous kiwi legend.

I lived in Sydney Australia but since my marriage
I now live in Christchurch. I have changed my name from Kumbaya and Sally
to Hinemoa as I am married to a kiwi. There are Maori Ancestors in my family.

I am newly married with two children,
My Husband is Heath
1 boy~Peter
1 girl~Jessica
both in their late teens.
I Love dancing, reading, going out to dinner
going to my favourite church.
I am now married to Heath
who is a member here on AP, we got married on Oct 17th 2005

I am deleriously happy.

Some of my friends call me Sass, because they reckon
I am sassy, but I just love to enjoy life, have fun,
life is too short to be miserable, I always pick
myself up and get on with living.
I enjoy going to the movies
to the beach with my Heath.

Just when I was getting to know you,
you left us, at least I had the opportunity
to get to know you for a little while.

IN MEMORY OF PATRIC PATTERSON
1954-2004

Most pleased to make your aquaintance dear
hope your heart finds gladness here
Set your lovely muse to flight
Fill the earth with peace and light
let us know your point of view
That we might fully cherish you
read your note just yesterday
Thought I'd stop around to say
That your another precious rose
Growing from the the wells of souls
I'll say a prayer and speak your name
And thank my father That you came

GOD BLESS YOU PATRIC

Did you run to him with open arms?
To hold him close when night alarms.
As your world became a glad suprise.
Captured in his loving eyes.

Behold the proof of passions power.
As he reached to hold the fairest flower.
Rejoice to know his heart is true.
His love shall allways shelter you.
thank you for your kind comments on my work Sally. Its all good. isn't it.
I knew him for such a short time, but I loved him.

If you're single, don't be sad.
Cupid's arrows broke and he feels bad.
    He and I want you to know it's okay;
To celebrate and to have a Great Valentine's DAY!

PS: If you do have someone, that's good too
May your partner bring Valentine's of true!

    Hey,
I love your name.. my mum bought a table cloth (sad i know) with a story about Hinemoa and Tutanekai and I ended up looking it up because it was interesting. I've dated numerous kiwis but i love one and i swear... kiwis are the best. lol. they rock...
