You're Not a Hero (more of a rant rather than poetry)
Shoot him. It’s what you are trained to do.
It’s hard because you’re human too.
Your trained to hate and yet you don’t know why.
He’s thinking the same…
Two lives completely different, now standing face to face.
This isn’t what it was supposed to be.
This isn’t the glory shown on that commercial.
That man spoke so highly of what you’d be.
You’re a broken bombshell, your just another number.
And when you become another statistic your family will receive a purple ribbon
Oh what a lovely exchange for an innocent life.
You could have been so much more but now your apart of a rising death toll.
And with your death an arrogance is born, and pregnant mothers can speak of glory to their sons, oh their so proud of daddy, they’ll be sure to follow his footsteps.
Now they have a real reason to hate those “God damn terrorists.”
A death brings to life a family of militants who will swear their names to a cause unknown.
WHO ARE YOU ALL KIDDING?
People don’t hate for no reason (Expect for us)
Maybe if our history books spoke truth of terrible things that we have done, that awful day would make more sense, although it wouldn't make it right.
But maybe if some real light was shed on our tainted history we might call for a change.
A real change with words, people communicating, settling differences, finding an equilibrium, a compromise.
Life will never be perfect, but it shouldn’t be like this.
But my words will be read wrong and I will have hateful messages saying that I’m anti-American, unpatriotic.
Good riddance, I refuse to be apart of generation me.
So sign up now and be a hero, they’ll all be so proud. And when you become another number you’ll realize you could have been so much more.

Divine Choice
I met the prophet and and I asked him
Am I a good man?
He answered....
"The Lord offers you a choice
There will be an end to all suffering,
No children shall die of aids,
or hunger,
or neglect,
But,
You will suffer an enternity of torment burning in hell."
Bugger....
