My name is Hailey Jones. I began seriously writing poetry in December of 2005 when I "fell in love". Well, that was all a bunch of bullshit, but I found that expressing my emotions through poems is a very great way to express yourself.
I write when I'm upset, inspired, or sometimes for the hell of it. I write my poems like they are monologues because I believe in performance poetry (and I also read my poems at open mics.). I also believe that there is nothing more inspirational to a writer than a poetry slam. My overall goal in poetry is to be a slam poet and to one day be featured somewhere.

Most of the writers who became famous started by writing trash. You have talents, what you have to do is to hone your skill by practice and experiments. AP is the ideal place for that.
