I have survived extreme abuse (incest, rape, molestation, SRA). This has caused some very interesting things to happen to my mind and emotions. They now know that trauma/abuse in young children causes the brain to physically develop differently than normal, causing all sorts of challenges even into adulthood.

Thankfully, no matter what humans do to one another, there is a Creator (Yahweh) over all of us who brings healing. Some of mine was in "events" where a lot of healing took place within a very short time. Mostly, though, it happens over time without a lot of fanfare as I face the past and work through it.

Sometimes healing is the reversal of things that happened to me. Sometimes it is the ability to live and work around what happened. Either way, God provides for me in it and He helps me to grow and become strong and to reach out to others who are also in need of healing.

Some of my poetry shares about my past abuse and current struggles. Some of it is graphic. I will try to remember to mark graphic stuff with "adult" so that no one will be surprised.

If you have also survived extreme abuse...be forewarned that some of what I write may be triggering. Although I do write about the abuse, I am not always in a good enough space to read what others write about abuse. So, please do not take it personally if I don't comment on something you have written about abuse. I may or may not have been able to read it. Or, if I did read it, I may not have had the energy to comment. But do keep writing! Get the word out!

A lot of what I write is also hopeful and spiritual. It is my relationship with my Creator...Yeshua haMashiach [Jesus the Messiah (Christ)]...whom I have known since I was four, that has helped me to survive this life. If it were not for Him, I truly believe that I would be dead...or worse. I hope that my spiritual poems will bless others.

I like to use the Hebrew names for God so you will find some of them in some of my poetry. I try to remember to put their meanings in the Author's Notes, but I do tend to forget. Abba = Hebrew for Daddy and stands for my heavenly Father God. Yeshua I mention above. Ruach HaKodesh = Holy Spirit. Sometimes it is simply written as Ruach. YHVH = Yahweh = the name of the God I love and serve.

I am very blessed with a husband who is a real gift from God. I have three surviving children...all sons. Two are married. One is still at home. I have five grandchildren!
