  Realistic Promise Of Love
  Take my heart by the hand
  hold it gently tight
  strong yet so caressing
  making it feel just right
  
  will you promise to love me
  through thick and thin
  when I'm humbly wrong
  or when I rightly win
  
  brush my hair, caringly
  from my kind face
  stare occasionally as if I'm the only one
  in a crowded place
  
  will you promise to smother me
  only when I absolutely need it
  and also to nourish my heart
  to happily feed it
  
  I'm not looking for perfection
  only to try our best
  that is what you will get from me
  and maybe sometimes a little less
  
  a realistic promise of love
  an equal take and give
  a kiss to seal the deal
