HaydenMessengerShow poetry

I only ever wrote for myself. During my early teenage years I began writing in a hard-backed journal, expressing my angst as teenagers love to do, and keeping a written record of my adolescent life. I kept the habit up, and soon realised that I loved reading my entries as much, if not more, than I loved writing them.

Eventually, that is with me being in my early twenties, I found myself filled with creative ideas that wouldn't translate into prose and so I began writing my first poetry. Now I find myself feeling compelled to share some of my work, because in many ways it's like spending hours, days, and weeks painting a picture only to hide it in the attic.

I'd love to hear your responses to my writings. I'm not looking for approval, so be as critical as you wish - I merely would like to know how they look from another's perspective. If you leave me feedback feel free to request that I do the same for your work, and I'll gladly return the favour.

Yours pseudonymously,

-H. Messenger
