Fool's Paradise
by Gwen T. Lundy
A fool built a dream out of moonlight
A kiss and the touch of a hand.
How much can be built out of nothing
Only a fool can understand.
And only a fool will forget
That the brightest moon will wane,
That the nights will grow dark and empty
Of all save blinding pain.
And only a fool will stumble on
Through the darkness with out a light,
Remembering the touch of a hand
And a kiss when the moon shone bright.
Only a fool will never learn,
He'll go out and do it again
For love has the power to turn into fools
The wisest of women and men.
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
Marilyn Monroe (my girlllll)

'Loneliness is the human condition. Cultivate it. The way it tunnels into you allows your soul room to grow. Never expect to outgrow loneliness. Never hope to find people who will understand you, someone to fill that space. And intelligent, sensitive person is the exception, the very great exception. If you expect to find people who will understand you, you will grow murderous with disappointment. The best you'll ever do is to understand yourself, know what it is that you want, and not let the cattle stand in your way.'

I walked around my good intentions/
And found that there were none/
I blame my father for the wasted years/
We hardly talked/
I never thought I would forget this hate/
Then a phone call made me realize/
I'm wrong/
If I don't make it known that/
I've loved you all along/
Just like sunny days that/
We ignore because/
We're all dumb and jaded/
And I hope to god I figure out/
What's wrong/
I walked around my room/
Not thinking/
Just sinkning in this box/
I blame myself for being too much/
like somebody else/
I never thought I would just/
Bend this way/
But were that hope of pride and power
Now offer'd with the pain
Even then I felt -- that brightest hour
I would not live again:
For on its wing was dark alloy,
And, as it flutter'd -- fell
An essence -- powerful to destroy
A soul that knew it well.
-Edgar Allan Poe
*Mr. Invisible*
I feel you next to me
your hand on my shoulder
your ear against my lips
hearing every thought
wishing every dream
and yet you are invisible,
a dream within a dream....
"Let me tell you a few things about regret...There is no end to it. You cannot find the beginning of the chain that brought us from there to here. Should you regret the whole chain, and the air in between, or each link separately as if you could uncouple them? Do you regret the beginning which ended so badly, or just the ending itself?"
Janet Fitch (White Oleander)
"Some men, cannot be reasoned, bargained or bribed,
Some men, just want to watch the world burn;"
Burn.....
*From Trespasses*
I don't know how I lost my amulets
and my absolute certainties revert to despair at the peak
of their pulsation.
Here I am winning and losing
Here's Night coming overcast with its angels
and Babels crowding about.
Description is not what you fear
but the crash of the penetrator into them;
they yell back and forth
bird.
By the bird:
Water with which to calm your winds, O cameleer
is a citadel for tremblers,
poetry for your bewildered sadness.
I will run away from my ravens,
descendants of despised prophecies.
And when you exchange the pavilion
I'll be frittered away pound by pound
because I am magician with no spells
or pages,
so darkness won't discern me.
Now in order to recite my homelessness to you,
witness my ruse to myself, so you can stone me
if I allow paradise to be my refuge.
Rising in the rovingaround as the scream of dew,
and like the wavering of an echo in a well
waves follow one after another inside my body
a prisoner to all parts
a rebel against the elements.
- The poetry of Arab women, 2001
Creativity has got to start with humanity and when you're a human being, you feel, you suffer.
-Marilyn Monroe
~We're just two lost souls
swimming in a fish bowl
year after year
running over the same old ground

the same old fear

~I don't need no drugs
to calm me
I have seen the

Don't think I need
anything at all
All in all it was
all just bricks in
the Wall

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cuz I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cuz sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
Cuz I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you'd bleed just to know you're alive
And I don't want the world to see me
Cuz I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
