I absolutely hate it when people change the spelling on words to make them fantasy. Perfect example, vampire. It is spelled Vampire. However, there are many stupid people out there who say, no, I'm gonna spell it vampyre. I hate it when people think that changing i to y makes a word any more fanciful or any more real. Some say, "no, vampires are in movies, real life vampires spell it with a y." ur not fooling anybody, vampire is spelled with an i. I absolutely cannot stand it when people think that misspelling words with y instead of i makes the word any different--except that it is horribly stupid and misspelled. I also hate the mispelling of the word, fairy into faery or faerie. Granted, that's the way it used to be spelled...500 years ago...some people are lost in the times. You don't live 500 years ago, idiot! Its spelled fairy and vampire...
