(Tag design by Poets Whisper)I am a simple man with simple needs. I have dabbled in many different forms and styles of poetry. My prefered form of poetic expression is minimalistic poetry such as haiku, senryu, tanka, ect. (which is probably because I have such a short attention span.) (LOL)
...Now what was I saying...oh yeah, I believe poetry ought to have a point, make a connection with its' reader and share some grain of wisdom learned by experience or gleaned precariously from others. I think poetry is more than an entertainment or therapy exercise. Effective poetry makes us think and see things from new perspectives. When this is achieved it not only touches the mind but it also stirs the heart.

I am 59 years old. I have been married for 38 years to my wonderful wife Nancy and am the father of five children, Triplets (now 27 yrs old) and Twins (now 23 yrs old). I also am the grandfather of four beautiful granddaughters and two wonderful grandsons.
I am a Christian and I make no apology for being so for I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ for it is the power of God unto Salvation. I will be tolerant and respectful of all I meet here at Allpoetry.
I hope to make many friends here reading and sharing our common interest,
a love for All POETRY!

cold morning
underneath blanket
the horse whinnies
early ride
along the trail
snow covered bench
the black words
against the white pages
a chapter opened~
between morning’s silence
the Word whispers new hope
