I am Phoenix7289... I chose to change my name.

The following paragraph has been updated on November 10th, 2009 so you know me better!

I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, a member of an Episcopal church, but have done badly to make it to services over the past couple years. Going to try and change that... Until recently I had a huge duel with Writer's Block and wrote maybe A poem every few months or so.... things are changing and looking brighter in my life. One month ago I quit WoW and not really planning to go back at all. At least not til the next expansion. I am however a drummer, I'd like to say I am alright, though I've had friends say I am damn good. I just think there is a good amount of room for improvement. Retired coin collector of coins from the 1800s/early 1900s. I'll cancel my retirement when I get a new job. ;P I think my portfolio of poetry (I don't have all of my poems up here unfortunately =/) has reached over 100 poems! I think it's pretty cool. I believe that God guides my hand when I write. It is not completely me doing the writing! I know this is true, it just can't be just me... He has helped me grow strong. So I hope all of you can find his love and help! I am 20, 6' 2" and am from North West suburbs of the Chicagoland area. I tend to write longer poetry a bit, because I really like long songs/poems. Such as music and songs, the longer the song, the better. You can get more out of it. However, compared to short crap, like rap, you don't get much out of it. This is one reason why I like to write longer poetry when I can, because I can get more out there. A good LONG song, is Octavarium by Dream Theater!!!! Check them out, they are AMAZING!!!
