GreystrokesShow poetry

I'm a 43 year old male who lives in Melbourne Australia.

I want to learn and share more about poetry and the many different styles available. I can't believe how many different styles there are!

I love many forms of poetry, though I do have a soft spot for Acrostic and ShApE poetry.

Rhyme and meter do matter though it will be forgiven if the imagery carries it through. I can and do look past SPAG, though IF I find it, I will bring it to your attention. I hope you would do the same.

My disclaimer is I'm an Australian and some spelling will differ, bare with me. I do sometimes incorporate slang in my writing and will, if I remember to, leave notes to explain what I'm rabbiting on about.

I'm fascinated by Haiku and Senryu poetry, it is so peaceful and calming to me. Free Verse and Prose with good Rhythm and Rhyme will always be looked on with keen interest. I envy talented writers who have a natural ability to write with natural flow. It's so cool.

I have met some fine people already, the likes of the AP Greeters who are great. Thanks to AliceinPoetryLand for your assistance and answering my questions, I'm sure there will be many more!

I'm a nonjudgmental person, who looks forward to making new friends and learning and sharing more of the written word.

Cheers to you all
