Hi there. What to say, what to say? I'm a Scottish metal fan,but with a passion for many other things. TV/Film, Wrestling, Comic books and action figures, reading and on occasion, writing. I am also a bit of a Lord of the Rings/Tolkien buff. Been reading it at least once a year since I was about 12 or 13.

As for my writing, I do not see myself as a poet. Nor do I really see myself as that much of a writer at all to be honest (yes, and I know a certain person is going to slap me for that). Maybe its my stupid, dumb macho side kicking in, but as I said, I don't see what I do as poetry, per se. I'm more with Henry Rollins on that one. I just write. I tend to just write what is inside, if it comes out as poetry or prose, so be it. If it comes out as more of a stream of consciousness, so be it. As long as it comes out. Personally, I like to call it "Guerrilla" writing.

I have 4 tattoos 2 dragon heads, a wolf head and X-Men's very own Wolverine (from the shoulders up, what is with me and head tattoos?) but I do plan on getting a lot more done (I know I've been saying that for years, keep getting financially sidetracked).

I have a major interest in history, particularly ancient history and religious history, including ancient mysteries. I have an interest in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. Oh yeah, and did I mention conspiracies and conspiracy theories? It comes with the paranoia, I'm afraid. Religion and spirituality, well, I don't necessarily believe in anything in particular (that does not necessarily mean I believe there is nothing there, if you know what I mean), but I am always researching and studying out of fascination. I also have a long-time keen interest in aviation and astronomy. All things science really catches my interest. I don't always understand it, but I have enough of a layman's grasp to get me through.

I love the mightiness that is real ale (who doesn't) and of course, whiskey. Waste a lot of time tinkering around on the Internet, including messing around with graphics. Im not artistically talented in the slightest, but I can manipulate, doing banners sigs, fixing pics etc. Oh yes, and Playstation 2 games, especially all my flight games and the incomparable Gran Turismo series. Or if in the mood for mindless violence if someone has peeved me off, Grand Theft Auto series.

Family. I am adopted, so I have my adoptive family. My dad and mum split many years ago and both remarried. I lost my adoptive mum 2 years ago to cancer. Have a step-sister and a half-brother and half-sister. I have no idea about my birth family, I have only just begun investigating that.

oh yeah...I actually have THREE mothers. Count 'em, THREE. My birth mother, my adoptive mother (now disceased) and my CHOSEN mother. That may sound a bit strange, but she is my mother by choice, or more rightfully, as I say, my Soul Mother, the wonderful Dark Passion Play. I know which one is the best.

To update this, my situation has changed. When I first joined here, I was going through the breakup of a 13 year relationship and I was finding it really tough, especially as we were still good friends and I still felt the same as I always did about my partner. As I said though, things changed and we are now very much happily back together. From this relationship, I also have a 3 year old daughter, who makes everything worthwhile, through both the good and the bad.
